Simple Future tense

The simple future tense is used to talk about things that will happen later

Formula:

Subject + will + V1

• Predictions

🔹 It will rain tomorrow.
भोलि वर्षा हुने छ।
Bholi barsha hune chha.

🔹 I think she will win the race.
मलाई लाग्छ उनले दौड जित्नेछिन्।
Malai laagchha unle daud jitnechhin.

• Plans and Intentions
  
  Form: be going to + base verb

🔹 We are going to visit Paris next summer
हामी अर्को गर्मीयाममा पेरिस जान लागिरहेका छौं।
Haami arko garmiyaama Paris jaan laagirahaeka chhau.

🔹 He is going to start a new job
उ नयाँ जागिर सुरु गर्दैछ।
U naya jagir suru gardai chha

• Offers, Promises, or Decisions

🔹 I will help you with your homework.
म तिमीलाई गृहकार्यमा सहयोग गर्नेछु।
Ma timilai grihakaryama sahayog garnechhu.

🔹 I will get you some water.
म तिमीलाई पानी ल्याइदिनेछु।
Ma timilai paani lyaaidinechhu.

🔹 I will never tell anyone your secret.
म कहिल्यै पनि कसैलाई तिम्रो गोप्य कुरा भन्नेछैन।
Ma kahilyai pani kasailai timro gopya kura bhannenechaina.

🔹 We have run out of milk. I will buy some.
हामीसँग दूध सकिएको छ। म किनेर ल्याउनेछु।
Haamisanga dudh sakieko chha. Ma kinera lyaaunechhu.

• something that will definitely happen in the future

🔹 Summer will start in June
गर्मी जुन महिनामा सुरु हुनेछ।
Garmi Jun mahinama suru hunechha.

🔹 The sun will rise at 6 a.m. tomorrow.
भोलि सूर्य बिहान ६ बजे उदाउनेछ
Bhole surya bihana 6 baje udaunechha.

Future continuous tense:

Structure:
Subject + will be + present participle (-ing form of the verb)

• To indicate an action in progress at a certain future time:

🔹 At 10 AM tomorrow, I will be meeting with the manager.
भोलि बिहान १० बजे म म्यानेजरसँग भेट गर्दै हुनेछु।
Bholi bihana 10 baje ma manager sanga bhet gardai hunechhu.

• Describes two or more ongoing actions happening at the same time in the future.

🔹 I will be studying while my brother will be watching TV.
म पढ्दै हुनेछु, जबकि मेरो दाजु टिभी हेर्दै हुनेछन्।
Ma padhaidai hunechhu, jabki mero daaju TV herdai hunechhan.

• Used to politely ask about someone’s future activities

🔹 Will you be joining us for dinner?
के तपाईं हाम्रो साथमा रातको खाना खान आउँदै हुनुहुनेछ?
Ke tapai haamro sathma ratko khana khaana aaudai hunuhunchha?


🔹 Will you be using the printer later?
के तपाईं पछि प्रिन्टर प्रयोग गर्दै हुनुहुनेछ?
Ke tapai pachi printer prayog gardai hunuhunchha?

• Indicating Planned or Scheduled Events

🔹 The train will be arriving at 6:45 PM.
रेल बेलुका ६:४५ बजे आइपुग्दै हुनेछ।
Rel beluka 6:45 baje aaipugdai hunechha.

Future perfect tense:

• The Future Perfect Tense is used to describe an action that will be completed before a specific time in the future.

Structure:
Subject + will have + past participle (V3)

🔹 I will have finished the report by 5 PM.
मैले रिपोर्ट बेलुका ५ बजेसम्म सकिसकेको हुनेछु।
Maile report beluka 5 bajesamma sakisakeko hunechhu.

🔹 By 9 PM, I will have finished my homework.
राति ९ बजे सम्ममा मेरो गृहकार्य सकाइसकेको हुनेछु।
Rati 9 bajesamma ma mero grihakarya sakaisakeko hunechhu.

🔹 By tomorrow morning, he will have arrived.
भोली बिहानसम्म ऊ आइपुगेको हुनेछ।
Bholi bihanasamma u aai pugeko hunechha

🔹 By next month, we will have moved to a new city.
अर्को महिनासम्म हामी नयाँ शहरमा सरेका हुनेछौं।
Arko mahinasamma hami naya saharma sareka hunechhau.

• an action that will be completed before another future action.

🔹 He will have left for work before you wake up.
तिमी उठ्नुअघि ऊ काममा निस्किसकेको हुनेछ।
Timi uThnuhunu aghi u kaammaa niskisakeko hunechha.

🔹 I will have cleaned the house before the guests arrive.
अतिथि आउनुअघि म घर सफा गरिसकेको हुनेछु।
Atithi aaunu aghi ma ghar safa garisakeko hunechhu.

🔹 I will have eaten before they arrive.
उनीहरू आउनुअघि मैले खाइसकेको हुनेछु।

• To express duration in the future perfect tense, you describe how long an action will have continued up to a point in the future.

🔹 By next year, I will have lived here for ten years.
अर्को वर्षसम्म म यहाँ दस वर्ष बसिसकेको हुनेछु।
Arko barsa samma ma yaha das barsa basisakeko hunechu.

🔹 She will have worked at the company for 5 months by July.
जुलाईसम्म उनले कम्पनीमा पाँच महिना काम गरिसकेको हुनेछिन्।
July samma unle company ma paanch mahina kaam garisakeki hunechhin.

🔹 By 2026, we will have been married for 20 years.
सन् २०२६ सम्ममा हाम्रो विवाह भएको २० वर्ष भइसकेको हुनेछ।
2026 samma haamro bihe bhaeko 20 barsa bhaisakeko hunechha.
