Action Verb
A verb is a word that describes an action, state, or experience is called a verb.
क्रियापद भनेको कुनै कार्य, अवस्था, वा अनुभव जनाउने शब्द हो।

Auxiliary verb or Helping verb
Auxiliary verbs, also known as helping verbs
is, am, are, was, were, being, been
Used to form continuous/progressive and passive voice
He is having dinner.
उनी डिनर खाँदैछिन्।
The cake was baked yesterday.
केक हिजो पकाइएको थियो।
have, has, had, having
Used to form perfect tenses
I’ve seen that film before.
मैले त्यो चलचित्र पहिले हेरेको छु।
Everyone has arrived.
सबैले आइपुगेका छन्।
do, does, did
Used for questions, negatives sentences in the present simple and past simple.
Do you wake up early in the morning?
के तपाईं बिहान चाँडो उठ्नुहुन्छ?
He did not send me any email.
उसले मलाई कुनै इमेल पठाउनको छैन।
Linking Verb
Linking verbs explain the state of the subject, such as what it is or how it looks.
She seems happy today.
उनी आज खुशी जस्तो देखिन्छिन्।
I am twenty years old.
म बिस वर्षको भएँ।
The room is messy.
कोठा अस्तव्यस्त छ।
Main Verb
It’s the word that tells you what the subject is doing or what’s happening.
They are happy.
उनिहरु खुशी छन्
“are” is the main verb
He has written a letter.
उसले एउटा पत्र लेहेको छ
“written” is the main verb (with has as a helping/auxiliary verb).
Infinitive Verbs
The basic form of a verb. They are usually made by adding the word “to” before the base verb,
She decided to stay at home.
उनले घरमै बस्ने निर्णय गरिन्।
I forgot to take my medicine today
मैले आज मेरो औषधि खान बिर्सें।
Regular verb
A regular verb is a verb that forms its past tense and past participle by simply adding -ed or just -d if it ends in “e” to the base form.
Regular Verb) भनेको त्यो क्रियापद हो जुन यसको past tense र past participle बनाउनको लागि यसको मूल रूपमा -ed वा यदि “e” मा अन्त्य हुन्छ भने -d मात्र थपिन्छ।

Irregular verb
An irregular verb is a verb that does not follow the usual rule of adding -ed or -d to form the past tense and past participle.
Irregular verb भन्नाले त्यस्ता क्रियाहरूलाई जनाउँछ जुन (past tense) वा (past participle) बनाउँदा -ed वा -d को को प्रयोग हुँदैन
